Eagle Eye FEMTO treatment
During the Eagle Eye FEMTO treatment, which involves the use of two lasers, first a protective corneal flap is created using a femtosecond laser, and then the cornea is treated under this flap using an excimer laser, in a layer where there are no nerve endings.

- As opposed to the one-step laser PRK és NO-TOUCH procedures, the Eagle Eye FEMTO is a much more comfortable procedure, but since it requires two lasers, it is more expensive.
- However, its outcome is the same as in the case of one-step laser treatments. Except for extreme myopia or hyperopia (more than 6 dioptres), when the two-step FEMTO treatment yields slightly better visual acuity.
- After a FEMTO treatment you will not experience any pain. You should be resting for 1 day after your laser eye surgery. The next day you can already go to work.
- Eye drops must be used only for 3 weeks.
- For 2 months after the treatment, it is recommended to wear sunglasses with 100% UV protection.
Why is the Eagle Eye Clinic's FEMTO treatment is better than the flap procedures performed in Hungary?
The ultramodern FEMTO laser of the Eagle Eye Clinic performs one of the world's most secure flap procedures. The laser creates the protective flap under computer control, without manual touches. The edge of the extremity of the protective flap is steep, therefore after it is bended back, the stability of the flap is maximal.
What should I know about laser treatments?
The past 26 years of experience have shown that there will always be patients for whom not the most current technology but another type of laser treatment, i.e. one based on a different principle, can provide an even better outcome. Therefore, the Eagle Eye Clinic has decided to acquire two lasers that are capable of solving any possible problem.
The third one, the femtosecond laser, is used for FEMTO treatments. This laser creates the ultra-thin protective flap under which the laser vision correction can be performed with one of the two other lasers.
We have decided to purchase a computer-controlled laser to prepare the corneal flap, because creating flaps with a traditional hand-held microkeratome may be a much cheaper procedure, but it may result in serious complications, which do not occur in the case of FEMTO treatments. Not even the world’s most experienced eye surgeon can compete with the precision of a state-of-the-art laser, the precision level of which is one thousandth of a millimetre (0.001 mm).
