Reading glasses – Why do we need them?
With ageing, similarly to the skin, the lens of the eye also loses its elasticity. Sooner or later, almost everyone will need to use reading glasses. Previously, laser treatment could only restore visual acuity for long distances, today the development of laser technology has made it possible to relieve our patients from wearing reading glasses, to provide sharp vision up close as well.
To whom is the Laser Blended Vision treatment recommended?
The presbyopia treatment is recommended for patients aged 45-65 years, who have already noticed that they need to keep the newspaper or mobile phone at arm’s length to be able to read it, but in reading glasses they can see well even the smallest characters.
From the patient’s point of view, the presbyopia treatment does not differ in anything from the FEMTO laser treatment. The presbyopia treatment is painless. There is no need for resting home for a long time, usually regular work can be resumed within 1-2 days.

What should I know about laser treatments?
The past 27 years of experience have shown that there will always be patients for whom not the most current technology but another type of laser treatment, i.e. one based on a different principle, can provide an even better outcome. Therefore, the Eagle Eye Clinic has decided to acquire two lasers that are capable of solving any possible problem.
The third one, the femtosecond laser, is used for FEMTO treatments. This laser prepares an ultra-thin protective flap under which the laser vision correction can be performed with one of the two other lasers.
We have decided to purchase a computer-controlled laser to prepare the corneal flap, because creating flaps with a traditional hand-held microkeratome may be a much cheaper procedure, but it may result in serious complications, which do not occur in the case of FEMTO treatments. Not even the world’s most experienced eye surgeon can compete with the precision of a state-of-the-art laser, the precision level of which is one thousandth of a millimetre (0.001 mm).
